Project Overview

The owner of this central Phoenix compound sought resilience against frequent power outages and the peace of mind that comes with running most of the home off-grid. An initial attempt by an unreliable contractor failed to meet expectations. NewGrid was brought in to turn the owner’s vision into a reality.

Project Details

The owner of this home envisioned transitioning away from traditional grid power, with the ultimate goal of running entirely off-grid. An inexperienced electrical contractor was hired to design and build the system, but it failed to function from the start.

NewGrid was initially called in to assess the contractor’s work and was subsequently tasked with rebuilding the system from scratch. Within just four weeks, NewGrid’s team engineered and constructed a reliable off-grid system, successfully shifting the majority of the household’s energy demands off the grid. When faced with poor equipment choices and subpar workmanship, NewGrid consistently steps in to turn these challenges into success stories, bringing the owner’s vision to life.
