The challenge
Critical coverage on remote peaks.
An hour outside the gates of Yosemite National Park, two remote sites carry critical 4G/5G coverage for the surrounding area. As the telecom equipment evolved, the off-grid power systems underneath it had to evolve too.
What we built
Upgraded power at both sites.
NewGrid upgraded the power processing equipment, rebuilt the solar arrays, and installed supercapacitor energy storage at each site.

The outcome
Always-on coverage, off the grid.
The new storage is engineered for roughly 20 years of service before replacement — about a fifth of the lifetime replacement cost of the lead-acid banks it retired.
