Power + Water
Power and water are one problem.
Most ranches need both, and the smartest systems are designed together. That's in NewGrid's DNA, going back to our founder's years specializing in solar-direct water pumping. We size the pumping and the electrical as one system, so the well keeps running and the lights stay on without a generator carrying the load every night.
Off Diesel
Getting off diesel is the usual job.
A lot of ranch work is replacing generators that run constantly. Just outside Winslow, a cattle ranch that had been family-owned for a hundred years came off diesel and onto solar for its water pumping and operations, a project we did alongside the Arizona Game and Fish Department. On a ranch straddling the Arizona-New Mexico border, decades of aging systems and generators feeding different parts of the property got consolidated into a single containerized solar-and-storage plant.

Horseshoe Ranch, inside the Agua Fria National Monument, runs a full off-grid microgrid that powers bunkhouses, air conditioning, a pool and hot tub, and Arizona State University's on-site agricultural research, with no utility connection at all. At the other end, a small farm in Sunflower tripled its power and cut its generator to almost nothing.
